Cooperation between the two companies Olsbergs and Andreas Eriksson MSE - Motor Sport Evolution - has lasted a long time and deepened ever more. The management of both companies have now decided to form a joint company called OlsbergsMSE.
The new company is given greater opportunities to further develop the activities of motorsport. OlsbergsMSE will develop and manufacture racing components, engines and even complete cars. As the basis, the OlsbergsMSE will use Ford engines and car models.
The annual contest, Pikesville Peak International Hillclimb, running July 19, 2009 for the 87th time. OlsbergsMSE make a serious effort to try to beat the record up the famous hill in Colorado Spring, USA. The launch takes place at 2800 meters and finishing at the incredible height of 4500 meters. The cars and engines that will be used are two specially prepared Rallycross Fiesta built by OlsbergsMSE. The engine power will be more than 700 hp and torque are closer to 1000 Nm.
The two cars will be driven by Andreas Eriksson and the not completely unknown world champion Marcus Grönholm who previously competed for Ford in the WRC.
